Biden speaks to and holds moment of silence for 500K U.S. lives lost

We crossed yet another tragic milestone in our national battle with COVID-19 as we have recorded more than 500,000 U.S. lives lost. It’s worthwhile to stop and consider that for a moment. More than 500,000 fellow Americans have lost their lives by succumbing to the coronavirus. We have lost more lives to this pandemic than we did to WWI, WWII, and the Korean War combined.

Can you remember last year when health officials grimly predicted that we could see as many as 200,000 lives lost? They were generally panned and ridiculed for “playing politics” or being intentionally hyperbolic. The saddest aspect to all of this is plainly this: It didn’t have to be this way. This is a national disaster that was aided and abetted by an immoral president and his political enablers.

If you take the time to watch the whole 11-minute clip you will also see President Biden observing a moment of silence. This is what leadership, and America, sounds like.
