Instruments of grace and defenders of the outcast

This is hot off the press, so to speak, but it grabbed my attention and I wanted to pass it along. I’m a big fan of Q Christian Fellowship and the work they do helping gay Christians connect and reconnect with their faith and walk with Christ. Yes, I said it, there are such things as GAY Christians. 🙂

Q Christian Fellowship prophetically models a world where all LGBTQ+ people are fully loved by family, church, and community, and we’re dreaming of a world where Christians live up to their calling to be instruments of grace and defenders of the outcasts.

At the heart of all we do is the cultivation of radical belonging through the pursuit of growth, community, and relational justice. These things depend upon one another. Without community, we cannot experience relational justice. Without relational justice, we will not grow–not as individuals nor as a community. That world for which we dream, one where grace is sought and outcasts are defended, is one wherein our immigrant neighbors, our trans siblings, our elders are honored, celebrated, and have a seat at the table. It is a world where marginalization ceases to exist.

We label ourselves a “Christian Fellowship”, and in reality, it is a calling to which we must strive. May we do that together in the Love and Light of Christ.
