Matthew Shepard’s parents represent Wyoming

Matthew Shepard’s parents, Judy and Dennis Shepard, made an appearance in the DNC’s delegation roll call to represent Wyoming as they casted votes for Joe Biden. They speak about the death of their son, and how Joe Biden has helped against hate crimes for LGBTQ Americans. It has been almost 22 years since his death, and in that time, the Shepard family has been vocal about violence against the LGBTQ+ community, and saw to it that the Matthew Shepard Act (or the Hate Crimes Prevention Act) got signed into law by Obama.
