If you know anything about me you know that I love my morning cup of Joe. I like hot coffee, I like stronger coffee, I like weaker coffee, always with cream and sugar, and always when I’m writing. As late, I have also been enjoying some yummy coconut tea and as the colder weather starts to creep in I have my eye on the hot apple cider mix I have stored away in my pantry. One of these days I might even launch a fun coffee blog just for shiggles.
This morning I had two treats waiting for me (big shout out to my trusty sidekick and resident blogger Ronan Tetsu) and I want to give both a shout out. I had my first Biscoff cookie on a vacay flight several years ago and I fell in love with them. I don’t ever stock up on them because I have a big weakness for cookies in general and I have a hard time not scarfing them down. They are a real treat for sure. I also had the chance to sample “Holland’s favorite cookie” a.k.a. Double Dutch Caramel. It’s a traditional Stroopwaffle perfect with morning coffee or a snack anytime really. They are yummy, light and sweet, and I would be remiss in my duties as a gay man if I didn’t call out that they are a little high in calories.
And speaking of gay, let me give a quick shout out to my one of my fav coffee cups in the world. I bought this one on my very first visit to the GLBT History Museum in San Francisco many, many moons ago. I know it’s missing the Q so my sincere apologies on that. It’s a very old mug but it has a lot of warm memories associated with it so please don’t be offended! If you are a Saturday morning coffee lover out there how do you like YOUR java?
