Denver hosts one of the five largest Pride celebrations in the United States, and the 2026 edition is especially significant as the festival temporarily relocates from Civic Center Park to 16th Street due to construction. Pride in Denver is produced by The Center on Colfax, the region’s primary LGBTQ+ community center and the official organizer of Denver PrideFest. The 2026 celebration spans the entire month of June, with more than 100 hours of programming leading up to the main weekend — a major expansion from previous years.
The Denver Pride Parade — officially the Vizzy Denver Pride Parade — steps off on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at 9:30 AM, traveling along 17th Street from Franklin Street to Lincoln Street. The parade draws hundreds of thousands of spectators and features floats, community groups, performers, and national LGBTQ+ talent.
Immediately following the parade, the Denver PrideFest runs on Sunday, June 28 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM, taking over the 16th Street pedestrian promenade between Arapahoe and Broadway. This one‑day festival includes multiple stages, vendor villages, food and beverage areas, family‑friendly programming, and more than 250 exhibitors. The move to 16th Street allows the festival to accommodate the event’s massive attendance — more than 550,000 people in recent years.
Denver Pride’s month‑long programming begins on June 1, with events such as the VIP Kickoff Party, the Mutt Strut dog drag show, queer hiking meetups, book fairs, nightlife events, and the Denver Pride 5K on Saturday, June 27 at 9:00 AM at Cheesman Park. The expanded schedule reflects Denver’s growing LGBTQ+ community and the increasing demand for inclusive, citywide Pride programming. With its massive parade, downtown festival footprint, and a full month of events, Denver Pride remains one of the most influential and community‑driven Pride celebrations in the Rocky Mountain region.
