Dakota is a star on the high school football team, hiding his sexuality, battling between the girlfriend he has and where his desires take him. But when exposed, he is forced to confront his denial and come to terms with himself so that he stops hurting those around him.
The life of a disciplined high school athlete begins to unravel when his queer identity competes against the idea of who he was supposed to be.
Directed by Benjamin Howard
Starring Jake Holley and Connor Storrie
There are lots of things we really like about this film. First and foremost, we love us some Jake Holley. He is an absolute dream boat. Like seriously. He’s Timothe Chalamet hot. He nailed his part as the struggling teen, turning into an adult, coming to terms with the fact he’s not straight. His performance was compelling, believable, and authentic. If we were just grading him alone, he’d get an A for sure. Here’s an interview I found while posting this blog.
