Yeah, I know, Halloween is over. But, the void of disappointment that Halloween Kills formed left much to be desired. Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark, was one of them, surprisingly. The film title makes one expect a series of short stories around some campfire; instead, it’s a Stephen King like horror movie, with a solid plot, quirky and mean teens, and uniquely terrifying monsters. Without spoiling too much (yet), the plot is rather simple: Kid finds book in a haunted house, book is cursed (of course!), and writes horror stories that happen in real-time to whom it’s about.
