My biggest motivation for buying wine is not spending too much money. Also, I generally try to get wines that aren’t too dry. Oddly enough, Riesling Wine can be a coin toss when it comes to being too dry or being sweet—despite being only a tier below a Moscato on the sweet scale. Most good Rieslings are a good balance between acidity and sweet, to me at least. J. Lohr Bay Mist White Riesling gets a thumbs up. I remember the bottle being at around $10, perhaps less for 750 mL. What stands about this wine isn’t just being a good Riesling, but the bottle design. It features a blue screw cap, which matches the blue waves at the bottom of the bottle.
