Charlotte hosts one of the largest Pride celebrations in the Carolinas, produced by Charlotte Pride. The 2026 Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade takes place August 15–16, transforming Uptown Charlotte into a two‑day celebration of LGBTQ+ community, culture, and visibility.

The Charlotte Pride Festival runs both days in and around First Ward Park and Tryon Street, featuring national and local entertainers, food trucks, art vendors, nonprofits, and dedicated zones including Youth & Family, Wellness Way, and the Charlotte Black Pride Stage. Saturday’s festival runs 12 PM–10 PM, while Sunday’s festival continues 12 PM–6 PM.

The Charlotte Pride Parade steps off on Sunday, August 16 at 1:00 PM, marching along N. Tryon Street through the heart of Uptown. The parade runs until 4:00 PM, showcasing floats, marching contingents, drag performers, community groups, and regional organizations.

Charlotte Pride has grown into the largest LGBTQ celebration in the Carolinas, drawing more than 200,000 visitors and serving as a major regional hub for advocacy and celebration.
