Pride Watch: New Orleans

New Orleans brings its signature blend of culture, music, and queer joy to New Orleans Pride, one of the fastest‑growing Pride celebrations in the Gulf South. The 2026 celebration centers on Saturday, June 14, with the city’s iconic New Orleans Pride Parade stepping off at 6:00 PM. The parade begins in the Marigny at Elysian Fields & Royal Street, travels through the French Quarter, and finishes near Bourbon Street, creating one of the most vibrant nighttime Pride atmospheres in the country.

The New Orleans Pride Festival runs earlier in the day from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Phoenix Bar & Parade Grounds in the Marigny, featuring local performers, DJs, drag artists, community organizations, and food vendors. The festival is intentionally intimate and community‑driven, reflecting the grassroots nature of New Orleans Pride. After the parade, the celebration continues with Pride‑themed nightlife events across the Quarter and Marigny, including block parties, balcony shows, and late‑night performances.

New Orleans Pride is known for its electric energy, its nighttime parade, and its deep connection to the city’s LGBTQ+ history — a celebration that blends activism, culture, and unmistakable New Orleans flair.
