Charlotte hosts one of the largest Pride celebrations in the Carolinas, produced by Charlotte Pride. The 2026 Charlotte Pride Festival & Parade takes place over two days: Saturday, August 15 and Sunday, August 16, 2026, in Uptown Charlotte. The Charlotte Pride Festival runs both days in and around First Ward Park and Tryon Street, with vendors, food, community booths, and multiple entertainment zones.
On Sunday, August 16, the Charlotte Pride Parade steps off at 1:00 PM and runs until 4:00 PM, marching along N. Tryon Street in Uptown with floats, marching contingents, and regional organizations. Charlotte Pride has grown into the largest LGBTQ celebration in the Carolinas, drawing well over 200,000 visitors and serving as a major regional hub for visibility and activism.
