Red, White & Royal Blue Movie Review

As a gay male, I can pretty much say that I thirst for films that have cute guys, and Red, White & Royal Blue (RWRB) does. I’m pretty sure this is the 2nd LGBTQ+ film I’ve seen that involves a queer royal and their boyfriend; the first film I’m talking about is Young Royals. Similarily, Young Royals contains an issue RWRB has, which is the prospect of a gay prince, his boyfriend, and the potential of a becoming public spectacle (or a scandal).

RWRB is a full blown movie, being 2 hours in duration, and thus has plenty of time for character development, drama, and no loose ends (no pun intended). What makes this quite unique is that the characters are both the Prince of England and the son of the President of the United States (POTUS). To top it off, both families are unaware of their being together and their sexual interests; imagine coming out you’re doing the Prince of England or POTUS’s son!
