While authorative countries have already doubled down on LGBTQ+ rights/groups during the pandemic, Russia is no doubt furthering its grasp amid its brutal and immoral war. Russia’s judicial system has been carrying out decisions that would make the Republican party jealous. Their courts have not only banned social media platforms, but attempted to fine them as well, mostly due to ‘LGBT propaganda’. As for the what caused the ban, it was allegedly after social media platforms allowed ‘violent threats’ against Russia (which was deemed okay because Russia is murdering hundreds and hundreds of civilians after all).
